Whenever the image of the breath touching the FP is obvious, practitioners will know by themselves through their strong and deep mindfulness and meditation that the breath is now softer, longer, deeper, and slower than the previous time.
Now it takes a longer time to reach the end of both inhale and exhale compared to the beginning of the throne. Practitioners could notice that either inhale or exhale which one is longer and deeper. In general, inhale and exhale in terms of depth or profound would not be the same.
At the end of both inhale and exhale, or at the end of either inhale or exhale, there seems to be a “ pausing stage” since the breath is able to take a few moments at the end of the breath before reverting.
At this “pausing stage”, Mentally say “May the breath disappeared“then inhale or exhale with the Aas & Pass Approach as normal.
With this saying word, the mind is able to access the Serenity Stage.
Suppose that Pausing Stage happens at the end of inhaling.
Say “ May the breath disappeared” then
Say “Pas Pas Pas…” when starting exhale.
Say, Aas Aas Aas…” when starting inhale.
At the end of the inhale, there is the Pausing Stage.
Say “May the breath disappeared”
Notice that the said word “Aas and Pas” now are disappeared. Our mindfulness would make us know the whole characteristics of both inhale and exhale.
Try to stay in this situation as long as possible since the brain and mind are adjusting and preparing for a higher level of meditation.
For Wasit, we are pleased to guide the practitioners to achieve this precious stage. Try to get used to this stage more and more often. The mind now is gentle, serene, happy, and confident to a higher degree. Then practitioners will be advised to retreat the meditation a little bit from this precious stage and get into the mind programming mode.
